Hotel indigo dallas texas11/7/2023 So if we'd been out in the morning we would come back for a rest, change of clothes at lunch time and the room would still not be made up ( the weather fluctuated in temperature so you needed winter clothes in the morning and summer in the afternoon!). One niggling complaint was the fact housekeeping was very late, sometimes not until 2pm in the afternoon. ![]() There was some noise at night but that was only until I realised I hadn't pulled the black out curtains, which also reduced the noise. However there was ample hot water and a very powerful shower. If you were a larger person in room 1101 you would have difficulty closing the door when using the toilet. The rooms were large and modern, with a fridge, although the bathrooms were very small. We visited for the national cheerleading competition at the Kay Bailey Conference centre so made use of the shuttle bus the hotel provided. Excellent location for restaurants and tourist attractions. First visit to this hotel for a 5 night stay. As this was quite an expensive hotel £998 for 5 nights we had expected to be able to sit in the lobby/ bar area and meet friends and have drinks. So if we'd been out in the morning we would come back for a rest, change of clothes at lunch time and the room would still not be made up ( the weather fluctuated in temperature so you needed winter clothes in the morning and summer in the afternoon!).Īnother niggle was that the bar closed after breakfast so you could not buy hot or cold drinks in the bar area until 4pm. ![]() But otherwise, all of our staff interactions were nice.First visit to this hotel for a 5 night stay. It would've been nice to know as a guest what our other options were for using water and the restrooms on the notice - such as how there's restrooms on the 2nd floor that were unaffected by the water outage. The staff actually wasn't even aware that there was a scheduled water outage and suggested the public restrooms on the 2nd floor. My friend asked the front desk during that window if the water outage affected the entire building or if it was only our floor. ![]() While this is understandable since most guests would probably be out sightseeing during that time, we actually had to telework from our hotel room and would actually need the water. My main complaint was that one of the days during our stay, we got a notice that water would be unavailable for about 4-5 hours in the middle of the day. The bathroom was actually somewhat spacious and long though. When we first entered the room, the first bed was so close and there wasn't much room to move around or have space for our suitcases. It is considered to be a boutique hotel so our double queen room was actually really tiny. We thought this hotel was in a good location - which made it walkable for the whole downtown strip and Deep Ellum was a quick 15 minute walk too. November 2021 - COVID Review: I had to visit Dallas for a work trip and one of my friends wanted to accompany me so that I wouldn't be alone in the city.
